Socious Launches Tech4Good Changemaker Scholarship!
Socious, a community app for social change, has partnered with Le Wagon Tokyo Coding Bootcamp to introduce the Tech4Good Changemaker Scholarship. This initiative is designed for aspiring developers and data scientists committed to social impact work, aiming to address IT talent shortages in the nonprofit sector.
The scholarship covers up to 30% of tuition costs for Le Wagon Tokyo’s full-time and part-time bootcamp programs. It accommodates remote participants from anywhere globally.
Socious founder Seira Yun, himself a Le Wagon graduate, noted the program’s purpose: “We launched Tech4Good Changemaker Scholarship to solve the shortage of IT talent in the social impact sector.” He emphasized that skilled technologists can help social organizations scale their solutions.
Selected scholars receive:
- Mentorship from Socious team members
- Guidance toward employment at impact organizations
- Complimentary access to community events
- Networking opportunities within an alumni scholar community
Le Wagon Tokyo, operating since 2016, has trained over 400 students in web development and data science. Most graduates secured positions at leading Japanese technology companies. The bootcamp operates internationally across 45 cities with 13,000+ alumni and organizes 250+ annual tech events.
Interested applicants can apply through Le Wagon’s official website.
