Socious Fund Pilot Round: TELL and Mothers for Justice Lead Impactful Wins

The pilot funding initiative attracted significant community participation, with 766 unique voters casting 985 votes across 11 projects. Voting power was calculated based on verified ecosystem contributions including impact points and donations.

The fundraising component generated strong results: 24 donors contributed $6,034 across 37 donations. When combined with the matching pool, total funds reached $16,034. Each dollar in community donations generated approximately $0.60 in matching support.

TELL emerged as the top winner, receiving $10,000, while Mothers for Justice was awarded $3,500. Despite receiving fewer votes than Mothers for Justice (287 versus 390 votes), TELL’s selection reflected factors beyond vote volume, including verified voter participation, accumulated impact points, and donation strength.

Future applicants are advised to encourage KYC verification among supporters, leverage multimedia promotion, help community members earn impact points through Socious Work, and solicit direct donations. Round 1 submissions open June 14 at 00:00 UTC.
