ICC Candidates Debate in Local Languages

ICC Candidates Debate in Local Languages

The Cardano community has demonstrated its commitment to inclusive decision-making by organizing candidate debates across multiple languages. Following an initial presentation by Interim Constitutional Committee (ICC) candidates, community members independently arranged discussions in Japanese, French, Korean, Spanish, Chinese, German, and Russian without any external prompting.

A Grassroots Initiative for Inclusion

This initiative reflects core values around accessibility and representation. Each candidate receives three minutes for their presentation, followed by audience questions conducted in local languages. Events utilize Zoom’s AI translation capabilities, with human interpreters providing support when needed.

Why This Matters

This approach ensures that everyone, regardless of the language they speak or where they are located, has the opportunity to voice their opinions and participate meaningfully in Cardano’s governance process. It is a powerful demonstration of what decentralized, community-driven governance looks like in practice.
